State health department restricts visitors at skilled nursing, assisted living, and intermediate care facilities

Per direction from Governor Polis, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) is restricting all visitors at skilled nursing, assisted living, and intermediate care facilities to protect the health of the residents and health care workers at those facilities. These facilities provide care to older Coloradans with underlying health conditions.

CDPHE reopens drive-up testing site at the Denver Coliseum Saturday with support from the National Guard

CDPHE will reopen its drive-up testing site in Denver tomorrow, Saturday, March 14, in a new location at the Denver Coliseum, 4600 Humboldt St, Denver, CO, 80216. CDPHE moved the testing to a new location for safety and logistical reasons, and it will be staffed by a National Guard medical team.

CDPHE confirms 5 additional new presumptive positive cases in Colorado

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) confirmed five new presumptive positive cases in Colorado, based on today’s test results. That brings the total number of presumptive positive cases to date to 77. The state lab has completed test results on more than 600 people in Colorado since testing started on February 28.

CDPHE confirms 23 additional new presumptive positive cases in Colorado

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) confirmed 23 new presumptive positive cases in Colorado, based on overnight test results. Some of these results are from the drive-through testing center. That brings the total number of presumptive positive cases to date to 72. The state lab has completed test results on approximately 600 people in Colorado since testing started on February 28.

CORRECTION: Children’s Hospital Colorado does not currently have testing capacity. Children’s Hospital Colorado is providing care for the sickest kids in our region, and currently only testing children who meet specific high-risk criteria for testing and may need to be hospitalized. Please do NOT go to a Children's Colorado emergency or urgent care location unless you are experiencing a medical emergency or are directed to go there by a doctor. This will help limit the spread of illness in our community, as well as allow our emergency departments to care for patients with the most critical needs first.

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment's (CDPHE) drive-up COVID-19 testing site in Lowry has collected tests for more than 650 Coloradans since Tuesday, March 11. The results of these test results will give the state much needed epidemiological intelligence that is critical for policy decisions.

CDPHE confirms 4 additional new presumptive positive cases in Colorado

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) confirmed 4 new presumptive positive cases in Colorado, based on afternoon test results. All the cases were in Eagle County. CDPHE announced 11 presumptive positive cases earlier today. That brings the total number of presumptive positive cases to date to 49, which includes one indeterminate case that public health is treating as a presumptive positive. The state lab has completed test results on more than 400 people in Colorado since testing started on February 28.

CDPHE drive-up lab experiencing high volume. Line will be closed today; those in line already will have priority for tomorrow.

Due to an extremely high volume of people seeking COVID-19 tests at the drive-up testing site in Lowry, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) is working to establish and communicate a cut-off point for the line. CDPHE is currently determining, based on resources and staff capacity, which vehicle will be the last vehicle whose occupants can be served today. Those who are already in line behind that cut off-point will receive a note that allows them priority for testing in line tomorrow.
