Comeback Cash gift card stops continue throughout the state at mobile and pop-up vaccination clinics July 27-30

REMOTE, (July 27, 2021): The State and its partners will continue to host Comeback Cash gift card stops and additional clinics throughout the state this week. Anyone age 12 and older who receives a first or second dose of a COVID-19 vaccine at the gift card locations noted below will receive a $100 Walmart gift card while supplies last. The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment will send text message alerts to unvaccinated Coloradans about the Walmart gift card stops near them reminding them of the opportunity. These texts will come from ​​45778.

CDPHE to send vaccine reminder messages to parents and guardians of 12-17 year-olds

REMOTE, (July 26, 2021): In the coming days, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) will send text and email notifications to parents and guardians of children between the ages of 12 and 17 who may be overdue for their second COVID-19 vaccine. CDPHE sent previous batches of similar reminder messages to people over the age of 18.

State releases updated mitigation guidance for residential care facilities

Facilities are required to test unvaccinated staff every shift

REMOTE, (July 23, 2021): Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) released updated guidance modifying mitigation requirements for residential care facilities serving older adults and people with disabilities. 

In response to the COVID-19 Delta variant, the state has required enhanced infection control measures in areas where viral transmission has been higher to ensure resident safety since June 21st.

REMOTE, (July 23, 2021): The state of Colorado and its partners have mobile and pop-up vaccination clinics across the state this coming weekend including 32 Comeback Cash gift card stops offering $100 Walmart gift cards while supplies last to anyone who receives a first or second dose of a COVID-19 vaccine at the locations noted below.

State adds 650 historical COVID-19 cases to data dashboard

REMOTE, (July 9, 2021): Today’s data dashboard updates will add 650 positive COVID-19 cases to the state’s historical totals. These cases come from manual reports submitted to CDPHE by providers and labs covering the results of 24,714 tests conducted between March 2020 and May 2021. Testing providers notified people with positive results, but today CDPHE is adding them to the state’s case totals on the data dashboard. 

Modeling report provides analysis on declining SARS-CoV-2 hospitalization in previous weeks; areas with higher vaccination rates have fewer cases

REMOTE, (July 8, 2021): The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) and the Colorado School of Public Health released the most recent statewide modeling report showing the state’s SARS-CoV-2 epidemic is declining. The effective reproduction number for SARS-CoV-2 statewide is below one at 0.77, indicating that SARS-CoV-2 infections are still occurring but at a decreasing transmission rate. Currently, 1 in 390 Coloradans are estimated to be infected.
