REMOTE, (Nov. 25): Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment tonight announced greater restrictions to the approval for the state’s high school football championship games. These additional restrictions come as Pueblo County continues to have widespread transmission of COVID-19. Experts at the Colorado School of Public Health estimate that 1 in 29 people in Pueblo and surrounding areas are contagious with the virus. Much of the county is restricted by stringent capacity limits, as dictated in Level Red of the state’s dial.
Denver, Colo. (Nov. 25, 2020): Colorado has successfully completed a simulation to help prepare the state for the eventual arrival of a vaccine. Staff at the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment and Department of Public Safety confirmed receipt of a test thermal shipment and ancillary kit which arrived this week. Colorado was one of 10 jurisdictions chosen for this initial test.
During the test, Colorado public health officials were expected to:
Identify a provider location that will receive the test vaccine shipment.
State-partnered community testing sites to delay opening or to close Tuesday due to Winter Weather Advisory
REMOTE, Nov. 23: Eleven state-managed and partnered community testing sites will be closed or postponed on Tuesday, Nov. 24, due to Winter Weather Advisory.

Testing site will open on November 24 at Bennett Community Center- 1100 E. Colfax Ave, Bennett, CO 80102
Denver, Colo - Nov. 23, 2020: Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Operation Warp Speed (OWS) have chosen Colorado to participate in a pilot run of the end-to-end logistics readiness test for COVID-19 vaccine distribution. CDC is conducting the test with external partners (Pfizer, McKesson, UPS, FedEx) as well as ten jurisdictions, including the state of Colorado.
